Master of Arts in Addiction Studies
The online Master of Arts in Addiction Studies offered at the University of South Dakota is an accredited program by the National Addiction Studies Accreditation Commission (NASAC) that prepares students for licensure as an addiction counselor. There are two paths that students can pursue dependent upon their previous licensure as a counselor. While graduates are prepared for licensure through the South Dakota Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals, all applicants should check with their own state licensing requirements to ensure reciprocity and preparation of the program.
