Psychology Master's Program

The Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) offers two psychology master’s degree programs online. Each program features a rigorous curriculum, including interactive course work and online classes taught by Pepperdine faculty. 

  • The online Master of Arts in Psychology program provides a strong understanding of human behavior, including an exploration of various psychological principles and theories. Graduates of the program are prepared to start or advance careers in the human services or pursue doctoral study in psychology.
  • The online Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program is available only to California residents. In addition to online classes and course work, students complete in-person field placements at sites near their community. Graduates are prepared to pursue licensure as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in California.

Application Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions that awarded the applicant a degree
  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to the applicant’s academic and professional competencies
  • Statement of purpose: two-to-five page personal statement on training, experience, interests, professional goals, and reasons for applying to the online program
  • TOEFL scores, if applicable
  • Application fee: $55
