NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development offers two counseling programs: a master of arts in Counseling and Guidance and a master of arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness. These online master of arts degrees are accredited programs through the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC).
NYU Steinhardt’s master of arts in Counseling and Guidance prepares aspiring school counselor to work with K-12 students in both public and private schools, helping them to achieve their personal and academic goals . The master of arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness prepares students to help diverse populations reach mental wellness and empower their clients as professional counselors to reach their potential as individuals and members of their community. Each program’s curriculum is paired with clinical training to ensure that students are properly equipped to become professional school or mental health counselors.
